Coral Springs Museum of Art Pays Tribute to Romero Britto on Aug. 20

CoralSpringsMuseum_LOGO-noprog-KWhile Romero Britto has come to be a household name for fostering a message of happiness and hope with his signature pop art style, it’s not every day there’s a whole event dedicated to him.

On Aug. 20, 2015, South Florida PR firm Durée & Company client Coral Springs Museum of Art will pay tribute to the artist with its carnival-themed “Blame it on Rio” event benefiting the Museum’s community and education programming. Here are just a few of the many reasons you should attend:

  1. Romero BrittoMeet the artist himself: Attend the VIP cocktail reception for your chance to meet Britto. Representatives from the Consulate General of Brazil in Miami will also be at the reception.
  2. Mouthwatering drinks and flavorful food: Create your own caipirinha with the help of mixologoists from Leblon Cachaç Feisty Bull will be providing the bites.
  3. The art: Painting, digital prints and sculptures from Britto will all be on display.
  4. Community: Your admission fee to this Broward 100 – Celebrating the Art of Community event will benefit innovative programs for veterans and children with special needs, as well as Family FunDays.

RSVPs for both the VIP reception and general event are required. General admission tickets are $75 per person; you can attend both the event and VIP reception for $150.
