D&Co Dynamos Celebrate the Opening of Coastal – Ft. Lauderdale Beach’s Newest Oceanfront Restaurant

Last week, Durée & Company celebrated the grand opening of Coastal, Atlantic Hotel & Spa’s new restaurant featuring Italian-inspired Mediterranean coastal cuisine and oceanfront views.

The grand opening took place on Wednesday, Nov. 29 and featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Jack Seiler and Commissioner Chip LaMarca. Following the ribbon cutting, guests sampled several of the restaurant’s signature dishes and cocktails prepared by Executive Chef Rocco – such as the Swordfish Meatballs, Lobster Milanese, Cucumber Mint martini and Lime in the Coconut.

The opening celebration showcased Coastal as the perfect venue for a party with a semi-private dining room that seats up to 22 guests.

The #Dynamos enjoyed the oceanfront views so much that we’re hosting our holiday party there this week! We’ll be ordering off Coastal’s Sharing menu – an excellent option for large parties.

With its stylish dining venue and innovative menu, Coastal is a must-visit! And, the outdoor seating is the perfect way to enjoy the South Florida winter. So, head over to this beach-chic restaurant for an enjoyable meal and sophisticated dining experience. For more information, visit www.eatcoastal.com and follow @EatCoastalFl on Instagram.

FLIPANY Chosen as Lucky’s Market ‘Bags for Change’ Nonprofit Partner This Quarter

Fort Lauderdale, FL (Nov. 2, 2017) – FLIPANY, Florida Introduces Physical Activity and Nutrition to Youth, was named one of three Lucky’s Markets’ nonprofit partners for this quarter’s “Bags for Change” campaign.

Starting November 5, 2017 and running through February 3, 2018, shoppers at Lucky’s Market Plantation and Lucky’s Market Coral Springs can donate one Wooden Dime to FLIPANY every time they bring their own bags to shop. At the end of the quarter, the Wooden Dimes are counted and the total is matched by Lucky’s Market. On average, approximately $1,500 can be raised per quarter per charity, said Lily Ritchie, regional marketing specialist with Lucky’s Market.

“The ‘Bags for Change’ program encourages sustainability with reusable bags,” said Ritchie. “Each time shoppers use a reusable bag, they have the option to donate a Wooden Dime to one of three-partner charities per quarter. This quarter it is FLIPANY, SOS Children’s Villages Florida and Supermoms of Broward.”

“We were thrilled to have been chosen to participate in the ‘Bags for Change’ program,” said Lynne Kunins, founder, president and CEO of FLIPANY. “Every little bit counts when it comes to raising money to support the many programs FLIPANY provides that feed and nutritionally support our community.”

When choosing nonprofit partners, Lucky’s Market looks for specific programs that support four criteria: healthy communities, youth and education, resilience and sustainability. FLIPANY was chosen for its Access to Healthy Foods program, which it plans to expand into 17 additional after-school programs throughout Broward and Miami-Dade Counties.

To support the “Bags for Change” program this quarter, FLIPANY will have staff and volunteers bag groceries periodically at each location to help spread the word. To volunteer, contact FLIPANY at (954) 636 -2388 or volunteer@flipany.org.

3 Ways Brands Can Create an Emotional Connection with Millennials

The Dynamos of Fort Lauderdale PR firm Durée & Company know how important familiarity and exposure is to brands, but today’s millennials are seeking a stronger emotional connection than ever before. According to a study by the Fashion Institute of Technology about millennial consumer expectations, 48 percent of people are more likely to buy from a brand if they know the people behind it. In order to prompt the new generation to invest in brands, companies must establish an emotional connection between products and customers. Here are our tips on how to form this connection:

  • Advertisements: The most memorable advertisements are the ones that really tug at your heartstrings. Simple elements, like an adorable puppy in a magazine or an endearing father-daughter relationship in a TV commercial, can elevate an advertisement to the next level. Remember to keep these additions relevant to the brand and product to avoid distracting from the purpose of the advertisement, which is ultimately to encourage people to buy your product.
  • Social Media Influencers: Millennials spend a significant amount of time on social media and often feel a strong connection to the accounts they follow. Using popular influencers for product promotion is one way to increase familiarity with a product and encourage customers to form a connection between the product and promotor.
  • Engagement: In order to feel connected, millennials must be able to engage with the companies behind their favorite brands. This can be as simple as replying to customer comments on social media, or as involved as hosting events where people can get to know the company and brand in a more intimate setting.

Understanding the millennial mind might seem tricky at first, but once familiar with the way they think, creating and nurturing emotional connections with them will seem like a breeze.
