The Thrill of the Win! Durée & Company Takes Home a Second Bernays Award


Duree Ross Bernays Award copyIt’s award season – on TV and in person – and we kicked our season off at the Gold Coast PR Council’s Bernays Award luncheon on Jan. 24 at Boca Dunes Golf & Country Club.

The Durée & Company team proudly accepted a 2014 Bernays award for Branding/Image Campaign for our work with Rising Tide Car Wash in Parkland, Florida.

Rising Tide Car Wash is a groundbreaking social enterprise, which not only aims to be the premier car wash experience in the market, but also is one of the largest employers of people with autism in the U.S.

When we became the PR firm for Rising Tide, it was scheduled to open in a few weeks on April 6, 2013. We saw so much potential in the Broward County business, and with less than a month to initiate, our team did three things fast and apparently, very well. We introduced Rising Tide Car Wash to regional business media with its unique altruistic model, personalized the family business owners and took the story national.

Surrounded by PR colleagues at the awards luncheon, it was a fabulous repeat of our 2013 Bernays award win for PR Campaign By a Small Company or Firm for our work with Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. This stuff just doesn’t get old.
