We’re “Wild About Kids” and Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade

Gala season is upon us. The time of year when the calendar is packed with one great event after another and finding something fabulous to wear becomes a weekly challenge.

This weekend, we’ll be at the acclaimed annual “Wild About Kids” black-tie gala on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at Four Seasons Hotel Miami, Grand Ballroom.

The 7th annual fundraising event will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade and its many positive programs, such as after school programs, homework assistance, computer training, social skills, dance, arts & crafts, professional mentoring, and summer and athletic programs, for area children who need them the most.

We’ve long been huge fans of the Boys & Girls Clubs because we understand how critical it is for young people to have a place to call their own.

This year’s sold-out event will honor John Walsh, American television personality, published author, national speaker, co-founder of National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, human and victim rights advocate and host of America’s Most Wanted; and Cesar L. Alvarez, co-chairman of Greenberg Traurig and Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade alumnus. Walsh will receive the Bebe Rebozo Humanitarian Award. Alvarez will receive the Community Leadership Award.

But some of the best parts of the gala take place after it “officially” ends. An after party, also at Four Seasons Hotel Miami, begins at 11 p.m. Guests will enjoy a fun-filled evening into the wee hours with a special VIP performance by the Lady Panthers, plus Frank Sinatra-style entertainer Jeff Grainer, a D.J, dancing, an open bar and small bites. Limited tickets are still available.

It’s a chance to let the hair down, laugh a little louder and dance a bit longer. C’mon, it’s for the kids!

See you there…
