Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (July 21, 2017) — iFLY, the world’s largest indoor skydiving operator located in South Florida, helped give the gift of flight to 100 inner city children who attend the Miami Children’s Museum SMART (Safe Multicultural Artistic Recreational Teaching) Summer Camp program. While the Summer Camp program is fully funded by The Children’s Trust, iFLY agreed to underwrite the $7,500 experience to deliver the dream of flight. This field trip focused on the academic disciplines of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.)

The children attending this event as part of the Miami Children’s Museum SMART Summer Camp program were in grades K-5 at Kelsey L. Pharr Elementary School or Charles R. Drew K-8 Center in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood.

Miami Children’s Museum Summer Camp program has been in operation for over 11 years and currently serves approximately 120 children. This camp, as in previous years, is funded by The Children’s Trust. The Children’s Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County.
