Ed Burke and Brad Sisbarro Join Advisory Board of MY Self Wellness Ketamine Clinic’s Nonprofit Organization Warriors of Consciousness

Christina Thomas, president and founder of MY Self Wellness, a cutting-edge ketamine clinic and pioneer in the psychedelics space, is pleased to announce that Ed Burke and Brad Sisbarro have been appointed to the Advisory Board of the clinic’s nonprofit organization Warriors of Consciousness.

With a mission to help those who cannot afford psychedelic ketamine therapy treatments, Warriors of Consciousness aims to assist those struggling with anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and other mental health conditions.

Burke, Warriors of Consciousness’ Law Enforcement liaison, spent his career in law enforcement, first as a member of the Illinois State Police Metropolitan Enforcement Group (MEG), Narcotics Task Force, covering all Chicagoland. Later, he was assigned to the United States Justice Department in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Task Force of the Chicago Field Division. He finished his law enforcement career as a chief of Cook County Sheriff’s Office, and then moved to Florida.

Later suffering from nightmares, anxiety, PTSD and more, he discovered ketamine treatments through Charles Patti, chief brand ambassador of MY Self Wellness. Opening doors to a new realm of possibilities, Burke shared his story with other police officers who have since discovered the benefits of the treatments.

“I am proud to be part of Warriors of Consciousness, which helps raise funds to pay for the treatment of first responders among others,” said Burke. “The treatment changed my life, and I hope to help change the lives of others.”

Sisbarro, a decorated veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serves as Warriors of Consciousness’ Veteran Affairs liaison. Following his military career, recognized with two combat ribbons and a prestigious Presidential Unit Citation under General James Mattis, he founded a security firm that contracted with the Department of Defense and FBI.

His post-war years were marked by personal struggles with survivor’s guilt, anxiety, depression and OCD tendencies. After five years of talk therapy, he explored the healing potential of plant medicine, which led to wellness and self-understanding. He is now a staunch advocate for veterans’ mental health and alternative healing methods.

Sisbarro said, “Having dedicated my career to military service and then security in the private sector, I have fully embraced the transformative healing modality of psychedelic medicine. It is a great honor for me to work with Warriors of Consciousness, to advocate for other veterans receiving the healing benefits of ketamine.”

Thomas and Patti founded Warriors of Consciousness in 2022, knowing the strong transformations their clients have experienced as a result of psychedelic ketamine therapy. Because the therapy is not covered by insurance, they understand the importance of experiencing these transformations without financial restrictions. To date, Warriors of Consciousness has donated treatments to more than 90 individuals.

“We are very pleased to have Ed and Brad join the Warriors of Consciousness Advisory Board,” said Thomas. “Bringing their own experiences with psychedelic therapy, they both are proponents of helping those who cannot afford the treatments to see the true benefits of this therapy.”

Donations to Warriors of Consciousness can be made via a credit card, debit card or crypto payment at wocfund.org/donate-now/. In addition, 100% of the proceeds from Warriors of Consciousness merchandise will go toward the charity. Items include hats, hoodies, unisex t-shirts, minimalist backpacks, tote bags, slides, women’s cropped windbreakers, women’s lace-up and canvas shoes, mugs, and more. Donations go toward treatment at any approved ketamine clinics throughout the U.S.
