The D&Co Dynamos Think Pink!

As you may have noticed from our business cards, website and company logo, Fort Lauderdale public relations firm Durée & Company is all about pink. From the notepads to the artwork on the walls – even to the rosé chilling in the fridge – the whole office is pink. Since today is National Pink Day, we’d like to touch on why we’re so loyal to our favorite color.

This holiday is a day to celebrate pink and all it represents – especially girl power. The D&Co dynamos embrace the positive energy this feminine color exudes. As a group of spunky, strong women, we’d like to share why we love working in a distinctly feminine and cheerful environment.

Durée – In the words of Elle Woods: “Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed” and “Being true to yourself never goes out of style.”

Chrissy – “The color pink is a fun and cheerful reminder of all the great women who contribute their talent and ideas to our team! I love that our agency is so women-centric!”

Elana – “I like to leave a little sparkle wherever I go, and I think that’s the attitude we all bring to the office.”

Elizabeth – “I love being surrounded by other strong and inspiring women who can hand out pink business cards yet still command the attention of every single person in a room for all the right reasons.”

Lizzie – “I love how willing everyone is to teach and help one another with anything around the office!”

Caroline – “I love working in an office that is filled with such a bright and cheerful color! Pink has become part of the Durée & Company brand and it’s perfect for our ‘girl power’ attitudes.”

Sue – “I’m a glass-is-half-full kind of gal so it’s natural for me to be in a decidedly pink and cheerful environment.”

Sam – “I love being surrounded by the color pink every day as it brings positivity and joyfulness to the office.”

Andrea – “Pink is my absolute favorite color, and it keeps me energized and happy at work.”

LeAnne – “I love working in an ultra-feminine environment where everything is highlighted by shades of pink because it serves as an empowering reminder that, as women, we are perfectly capable of doing anything we want – including run a PR firm.”

Nicole – “Hustle for the pretty things (and rosé)! PR is all about the hustle and making things happen. We work hard and play hard – hustling on a daily basis!”

“In the ‘Venice of America,’ as Fort Lauderdale is affectionately called, Waterful Tours are a great way to discover the city’s alluring culture and history,” said Carmen Ackerman, Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District project manager.

The Waterful Tours include:

One all-day Water Taxi pass. Guests can leave the traffic and parking behind, and board a Water Taxi to see the city, explore its history, attractions, eateries and shops along the way.

Admission to two of three cultural sites:

– NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale is the hub of the South Florida Art Coast, nestled in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale. NSU Art Museum’s 83,000-square-foot building contains 25,000 square feet of exhibition space, a 256-seat auditorium, Museum Store and Cafe. The museum’s celebrated permanent collection contains more than 6,000 works. Among its highlights are the country’s largest collection of paintings and drawings by the American realist William Glackens; the most extensive holding in the U.S. of works by post-World War II, avant-garde CoBrA artists; and extensive holdings of works by leading Latin American artists.

–  Historic Stranahan House Museum is the oldest surviving structure in Broward County and was built in 1901 as the original trading post for the early pioneers and Seminole Indians. The iconic structure along the New River served as the pioneer settlement’s town hall, post office, and first bank. Later it became a boarding house and restaurant. The Stranahan family is credited as being Fort Lauderdale’s founding family and the museum offers a glimpse the city’s beginning, their legacy, and the historic structure. The House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

– History Museum Fort Lauderdale is the only pioneer village in South Florida with the largest collection of historic buildings in Broward County. It’s a great place for adults and children to learn about the history of Fort Lauderdale, and how the city evolved from pioneer times through today. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Historical Society offers a unique glimpse into the past with guided tours conducted in period costumes.

Sabbia Beach, Pompano Beach’s First Ultra-Luxury Oceanfront Residential Development in Nearly a Decade, Now Over 75 Percent Sold

Pompano Beach, Fla. — April 10, 2017 Sabbia Beach, the first ultra-luxury oceanfront residential development in Pompano Beach in almost a decade, is now over 75 percent sold with $20 million in sales, in the first quarter 2017. Fifty percent of the buyers are empty nesters/baby boomers, who are getting closer to retirement and selling their estates for the convenience of living the elegant “toes-in-the-sand” lifestyle that Sabbia Beach presents.

Sabbia Beach is 100 percent funded with construction financing provided by Ocean Bank, the largest independent state chartered commercial bank headquartered in Florida. Sabbia Beach is now under construction, and the concrete slab for the 8th floor was recently completed. Topping off is slated to take place in summer 2017. Sabbia Beach has an estimated completion date of one year from now.

“We are very pleased to have sold over 75 percent of our residences at Sabbia Beach,” said Danny Salvatore, a partner in Fernbrook Florida, LLLP, the developer of Sabbia Beach. “Many empty nesters/baby boomers are looking to enjoy a luxurious oceanfront lifestyle, and half of our buyers fit this description. Sabbia Beach offers a very unique opportunity in South Florida to own a new construction oceanfront luxury residence, with a private beach, in a sophisticated market.”

Sabbia Beach, a boutique-style development, is located directly on 200 linear feet of shoreline and features a 30,000-square-foot private beach — which is very unique in South Florida luxury developments. Located between Sabbia Beach’s pool deck and the public beach, the elegant, private beach embodies a quiet escape, with lounge chairs and umbrellas, plus beach and pool service. Sabbia Beach’s catering kitchen can also be used for private events on the beach.

Presenting only 68 residences, Sabbia Beach is designed by renowned Miami firm Arquitectonica. Interior design is by the prolific, award-winning designers at Interiors by Steven G. Each residence is luxuriously appointed with large living areas; floor-to-ceiling glass; spacious wraparound terraces featuring awe-inspiring ocean, city or Intracoastal views; and gourmet kitchens.

Sabbia Beach’s resort-style amenities include an exotic, oceanside ultra-contemporary heated pool; state-of-the-art fitness center that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, spa with massage treatment rooms, his and hers steam rooms and saunas. The building features a yoga area, plus a 3,600-square-foot multi-purpose social room. Additional luxurious features include 24-hour valet parking, as well as Tesla charging stations.

Sabbia Beach is part of a renaissance in Pompano Beach, which is becoming a vibrant, sophisticated, multidimensional destination. Coming to life is a creative arts district and cultural center, upscale shops and restaurants, a $7 million soon-to-be renovated fishing pier, $16 million parking garage, planned Class A office space, boutique hotels, and more. Pompano Beach is quickly becoming a desired area for those who want to shop, play, work and live on the ocean.

Sabbia Beach offers two-, three- and four-bedroom residences priced from the $900,000s, and one remaining penthouse priced at $5.9 million.
