Basis Industrial, a privately held and vertically integrated real estate owner and operator based in Delray Beach, Florida, recently held a ribbon cutting at its new Texas regional office located at 637 Presidential Drive in Richardson. Operated under the company’s in-house property management arm, BaySpace, the office serves as the central hub for Basis’s growing industrial footprint across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.
The ribbon cutting took place on July 15, 2025. The event marked a significant milestone for Basis Industrial, which now owns and manages more than 2 million square feet of industrial assets in Texas.
In May 2025, Basis acquired a 519,476-square-foot portfolio of shallow bay industrial properties in Richardson, including the Arapaho 1–9 portfolio. The acquisition marked the firm’s first investment in the Richardson submarket and included the property at 637 Presidential Drive, a 1,960 square-foot facility that now serves as Basis Industrial’s Texas Regional Office. The location serves as the physical headquarters for the company’s Texas operations and reflects its long-term commitment to the Dallas–Fort Worth market. Basis Industrial also has other offices serving the state.
Basis Industrial hired JDH Construction to complete a full renovation of the regional office. Construction began in May and was completed in early June. The office was fully operational prior to the ribbon cutting.
“Establishing a permanent regional office in Texas was a strategic priority,” said Anthony Scavo, president and managing partner of Basis Industrial. “This location positions us to lead from the ground, expand our footprint and deepen relationships in one of the country’s most important industrial markets.”
“This office enhances our leasing strategy by allowing us to move faster on deals and provide real-time insights into tenant demand,” said Sloan Teegarden, Director of Leasing for the Dallas market. “Being based in Richardson helps us stay competitive and agile as we grow our presence in the region.”
This isn’t just about proximity—it’s about performance for BaySpace,” added Brian Matwijecky, Director of Property Management for Texas. “With our team now on the ground, we can proactively manage assets, respond more efficiently to tenant needs, and ensure consistent quality across every property.”
With this regional headquarters in place, Basis Industrial continues to scale both its industrial and self-storage platforms. The company currently owns and manages more than 5 million square feet of space nationwide, with an additional 2 million to 3 million square feet expected to come online by year-end.
