At PR firm Durée & Company, we practice yoga to relax. We practice yoga to look good in yoga pants. We practice yoga because we care about our bodies and minds. But, the folks at Yoga Gangsters, our client, practice yoga because they care for our youth’s future.
Based out of Miami, Yoga Gangsters is a non-profit organization providing at-risk youth with free programs in schools, shelters, detention centers, and community centers. To date, Yoga Gangsters has helped nearly 10,000 children and teens in 11 states achieve balance, discipline and inner peace through yoga.
On Sept. 21 in Fort Lauderdale and on Sept. 28 in Miami, Yoga Gangsters is holding its annual Yoga Gangster Challenge. The challenge: Join other yoga enthusiasts for a two-hour yoga practice of 108 Sun Salutations, followed by a day of workshops and a healthy and holistic marketplace. The cost to attend is $25 with all proceeds benefitting future Yoga Gangsters.
