Miami-Dade-Area Boys & Girls Clubs Teens Take the Field at FIFA World Cup 2026TM as Coca-Cola Flag Bearers

Teens from Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade are stepping into the spotlight this summer, serving as Flag Bearers when the world’s most-watched international soccer tournament is hosted at Miami Stadium in Miami Gardens. Selected for their leadership, curiosity and commitment to learning, four Club teens will represent Miami during one of the most exciting global sports moments in U.S. history.

Flag Bearers were chosen because of their participation in the CocaCola FC (Future Careers) Academy, a sports and soccer inspired digital learning platform designed to help young people explore career pathways. FC Academy blends real‑world industry insights, resources and flexible digital learning opportunities to help young people explore careers in sports marketing, media, sponsorships, creative industries and leadership.

Participants move through engaging modules led by subject matter experts from Coca‑Cola and the broader sports and soccer community. Teens build professional skills, earn digital certifications and access job opportunities in the sports industry that support long‑term workforce readiness. The program creates lasting impact for young people, their communities, and career pursuits. FC Academy and the flag bearer opportunity is part of a larger commitment by The Coca-Cola Company and Coke Florida to open new career exploration doors and workforce opportunities to Boys & Girls Club teens across the country.

“This opportunity is about more than walking onto a soccer field,” said Alex Rodriguez-Roig, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. “It’s about creating unforgettable memories and experiences that show teens how their passions can open doors to exploring careers they never thought were possible. We are grateful for our partnership with Coke Florida to build the next great generation of U.S. workers and leaders.”

Celebrating their 80th year of partnership this year, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and The Coca‑Cola Company help young people access experiences, skills and networks that extend far beyond a single event—creating opportunity, confidence and momentum that lasts well into the future.
