50 Eggs Hospitality Group is excited to announce that CHICA featuring Celebrity Chef Lorena Garcia is now taking reservations for the restaurant’s official opening on Thursday, Dec. 2, in Aspen, Colorado.
Opening just in time for ski season, CHICA is positioned at the base of Aspen (Ajax) Mountain inside the renowned Residences at The Little Nell. The 4,335-square-foot restaurant boasts an additional 2,969 square feet of patio space with an outdoor bar and breathtaking views of Aspen Mountain. With 165 indoor and outdoor seats, this new hotspot will serve as a gathering place for Aspen’s stylish visitors and locals. CHICA will be open year-round where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, as well as après-ski, grab-and-go and late night.
“From our dynamic menu and award-winning wine and cocktail program, I can’t wait to show Aspen what we do at CHICA,” said 50 Eggs Hospitality Group Founder and CEO John Kunkel. “With classic renditions and signature interpretations of Latin American, Chef Garcia has come up with an eclectic mix of menu offerings for an Aspen dining experience like no other.”
Chef Garcia ― best known for television roles on “Top Chef Masters,” “America’s Next Great Restaurant” and Univision’s “Despierta America” ― has focused her entire career around bringing the robust and vibrant flavors of Latin cooking to a global audience. The menu draws from CHICA’s Miami and Las Vegas locations and also showcases new dishes, allowing guests to explore the bold flavors of Latin American with influences from Venezuela, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina, and beyond.

- Wagyu Quesa-Birria Empanada ($22) – Guajillo Consommé, Chili
- Asado Negro Arepas ($22) – Handmade Piloncillo Arepa, Braised Short Rib, Brazilian Pico
- Peruvian Corvina Ceviche ($22) – Leche de Tigre, Sweet Potato, Peruvian Corn, Red Onion, Cilantro
- Wagyu NY Strip Steak (MP) – Black Garlic Mole, Watercress
- Baby Back Ribs “Al Pastor” ($38) – “The Smoke Show”
- Lobster “Croqueta” Mac & Cheese (MP) – Tasso Mornay, Calabrian Chili Oil
- Pan-Roasted Ora King Salmon ($38) – Crispy Bok Choy, Ginger Chili Sauce, Nikkei Glaze

- Mexican Hot Chocolate ($12) – Served with Mini Churros, Chocolate Shavings, and Fresh Whipping Cream
- The Flaming Skull ($32) – Warm Lava Cake, Horchata Ice Cream, Fresh Fruit, Corn Marshmallows
In addition to an extensive wine list and bottle service offerings, a bevy of craft cocktails will be available. Top picks include the signature CHICA-Rita, a mélange of El Tesoro Blanco Tequila, Pineapple, Lime, Agave and Tiki Bitters; the Palomita with Avión Blanco Tequila, Pink Grapefruit, Agave, Lime; the Rum, Smoke & Spice with Havana Club Añejo Rum, Winter Spice, Lemon; and the Black Truffle Old Fashioned with Wild Turkey Bourbon Whiskey, Sugar, Water and Shaved Black Truffle. Not to be overlooked, the Mexican Hot Chocolate with Espadín Mezcal, Guajillo Chili, Toasted Marshmallow is a delicious rendition that warms from the inside.
Right off the ski lift, guests can enjoy Après-Ski with half off on Aperol Spritzes every day from 4-7 p.m. Then from 7-10 p.m., guests can indulge in “After Après-Ski” with $5 beers, $8 glasses of wine and $8 cocktails. CHICA’s other offerings include “Tequila Tuesdays” with $5 shots, $10 cocktails and a $40 punch bowl and “Rosé Sundays” with 50% off all rosé wines during “After Après Ski” hours.
Bringing a new dynamic to Aspen’s nightlife, “CHICA Nights” takes place every Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m.–close with live musicians, exotic performers and an animated lineup of DJs to dance the night away. On Sundays, CHICA’s lively brunch offers a bottled mimosa service where guests can order a bottle of bubbles with their choice of hand-pressed juices from the fresh juice bar. Bloody Marys and Sangrias are also available.
CHICA’s jaw-dropping design is the brainchild of Rockwell Group, a New York-based architecture and design firm focused on high-end brands such as José Andrés’ Think Food Group and NOBU Hospitality. The restaurant’s ambiance draws influence from Latin American colors and textures such as handmade tiles, bright accents and colonial-inspired ironwork.

ABOUT LORENA GARCIA
As a restaurateur, philanthropist, TV personality and published author, Chef Lorena Garcia is well-known for her numerous accomplishments in the culinary world, not only as a chef, but as the author of two cookbooks, TV series host of Emmy-award winning show “Despierta America” for Univision (Delicioso), co-creator, executive-producer and host for Nickelodeon’s “Food Hunters” and season 4 finalist on Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters.” Beginning her culinary training at Johnson & Wales, Garcia graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts and obtained her honorary doctorate degree. Chef Garcia has furthered her love for education with her culinary loft in Miami, FL. The Venezuelan-born chef has a constant focus on culinary development and hosts events and provides a culinary incubator within the space. Lorena furthered her craft early on in her career by studying in countries known for great cuisine.
