Modelo® has partnered with world-renowned artist, Shawn McCann, to create murals that will amplify the brand’s ongoing support for the art-driven and diverse communities in the Southeast. This summer, McCann will transform ordinary walkways into multidimensional murals at CityPlace Doral in Miami, as well as in Atlanta, and Charlotte, that will be available for consumer engagement over a one-week period.
In celebration of the mural’s release at CityPlace Doral, Modelo will host a summer-themed event on Father’s Day Sunday, June 19, from 1 – 6 p.m. Consumers will enjoy the full experience complete with live DJ entertainment, one-of-a-kind photo opportunities, and sampling! Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Shawn McCann as he completes his work in a live art showcase and formally introduces the public to Modelo’s newest expression of art appreciation.

About Shawn McCann
As an artist, Shawn McCann is one who loves to explore the relationship of art, space, and interaction, and has grown into a multi-media, multi-disciplinary artist whose work explores color, texture, form, and content. This approach has led to the many areas in which Shawn’s work has encompassed including; 2D and 3D street painting, murals, fine art, installation art, temporary and permanent art and commercial illustration. From the installation of a temporary 4000 square foot mural at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, to a mural at IIT Bombay in Mumbai, India, each work of art is produced with a fresh set of ideas, parameters, and ways in which to enliven the space within its grasp. His work has won numerous awards and is held in private and public collections, and has also been featured twice at the LA Times Festival of Books as a featured illustrator.
