Hemp Clippings Compliance Service Now Available Through ACS Laboratory for Florida Department of Agriculture Licensed Hemp Growers

ACS Laboratory, the top-ranking laboratory for precision testing and recipient of the most Emerald Test™ Badges in the country for cannabis testing facilities, launched its hemp clipping compliance program in June, available for the first harvest planted by farmers throughout Florida. The earliest planted harvests will be ready to clip within the next few weeks.

ACS Laboratory is Florida’s largest ISO Accredited, DEA licensed laboratory designated by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to provide sample collection and testing services. Florida’s hemp farmers are now required by law to use state-approved laboratories for sample collection and potency testing.

With expertise in Florida’s protocols for hemp clippings, ACS Laboratory’s field samplers bring all required materials to sites, and ensure that hemp is safely transported to its in-state laboratory.

“At ACS Laboratory, we think about farmers and their business needs,” said Roger Brown, co-founder, CEO and President of ACS Laboratory. “Our hemp clipping compliance program provides them with safe transportation and quick yet fully accurate results. We are pleased to serve the industry and be The Most Trusted Cannabis and Hemp Laboratory in the USA™.”

ACS Laboratory guarantees that samples arrive at its facility the same day of collection. This allows for results in two to five days through ACS Laboratory’s secure customer portal. ACS Laboratory is trusted to test both hemp and medical marijuana with precision for Florida’s consumers and patients.

“We are excited to be working with ACS Laboratory. We have multiple hemp projects under way,” said Brian Tucker, COO of Green Key Solutions, an Orlando area distributor of cannabis grow supplies and customer of ACS Laboratory. “Having a lab partner that can help maintain compliance and with a cooperative spirit will be essential to the success of our business.”

The focus of ACS Laboratory is to continue to support and enhance the ability for cannabis and hemp companies and brands to deliver clean, safe products; and do so in a manner that promotes positive standards throughout the industry. ACS Laboratory was awarded with 21 coveted Emerald Test badges in 2019, the most that year of any laboratory in the entire U.S. These test badges compare cannabis laboratories’ ability to deliver reliable results, using standards established in the environmental, food, pharmaceutical, water and petrochemical industries.

In spring 2020, ACS Laboratory acquired Botanica Testing, Inc., a certified hemp and CBD testing laboratory, which added 500 new hemp and CBD clients to its existing, and rapidly growing, portfolio. This acquisition increased ACS Laboratory’s customer reach to 44 states throughout the U.S.
