Third time’s the charm here at Durée & Company, Inc.

We recently won our third Stevie® Award – but what makes it so special is that this time, we won the gold! Also known as the American Business Award, the Stevies are the world’s premier business award competition, so with this win, we know exactly how excited to get – very!

On Nov. 8 at The 10th Annual American Business Awards for Women in Business dinner, my team and I were honored for our work in the category of Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Crisis Communications category for the campaign, “Turning a South Florida Crash into a Happy Ending Across the Nation.” Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners during the sold-out event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run.  All individuals and organizations worldwide are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. The 2013 awards received entries from 18 nations and territories.

We are extremely familiar with the happiness surrounding the Stevies. We were presented with our second Stevie – a Silver Award in June 2013 at The 11th Annual American Business Awards in Chicago. We won the award in the Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Reputation/Brand Management category for its work with Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. In 2012, I received our first Stevie, the Bronze Award for Women in Business, Female Entrepreneur of the Year in the category of firms with fewer than 10 employees.

So this time around, three is beginning to be our favorite number. Can you blame us?
