Mr. Psychedelic Law, a 501c4 non-profit focused on legal reform in Florida for psychedelic medicines, has appointed Courtney Barnes, a devoted social justice and regulatory attorney, as the Lead Drafter of Florida’s next psychedelic research and therapeutic access bill, focusing on readying the State of Florida for FDA approval of psilocybin and MDMA. The team plans to work with a Representative or Senator to file the bill in Florida’s next legislative session.
Mr. Psychedelic Law is a non-profit repository of lawyers and medical, scientific, and spiritual experts, working toward driving responsible legal reform in Florida for psychedelic medicines. Co-founder of Mr. Psychedelic Law, Dustin Robinson, worked with Representative Grieco in part to design the first draft of the state psilocybin bill, and has continued to play an integral role in progressing the movement forward in the State.
Mr. Psychedelic Law is partnering with Barnes who is a leading trailblazer in psychedelics policy reform. Barnes serves as Counsel for Feldman Legal Advisors, General Counsel for the Society for Psychedelic Outreach Reform and Education (SPORE), and Advisory Board Member for Heroic Hearts Project Inc. She was a lead drafter of the nation’s first voter-initiated psilocybin policy reform ordinance, and has unparalleled experience drafting state and local psychedelics policy reform measures.
