The Dawn McKenna Group Hosts Food & Supply Drives in Southwest Florida to Support Those Affected by Hurricane Ian

Who/What:

Following the devastation of Hurricane Ian, The Dawn McKenna Group (DMG), affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty and the #8 large team in the U.S. among all brokerages, has coordinated food and supply drives in southwest Florida to support the community and those in need during this critical time. DMG has an office in Naples, FL as well as Hinsdale, IL; Chicago, IL; Winnetka, IL; Lake Forest, IL; and New Buffalo, MI.

The food and supply drives, taking place through Thursday, will benefit St. Matthew’s House and the Humane Society of Naples. DMG’s Naples team will have food trucks set up at various locations throughout southwest Florida with volunteers delivering meals and donation items to residents. Food trucks include Taco Tummy, Milky Whey and Only Doubles. The volunteers are also able to move damaged items out of homes and to the curb if needed.

Those who wish to donate can drop off items at 550 5th Ave. S. Naples, FL 34102. Donations will be accepted through the holiday season. DMG will also be collecting donation items at their offices in Hinsdale, IL; Chicago, IL; Winnetka, IL; and Lake Forest, IL.

Items needed for St. Matthew’s House include:

  • First aid kits and over-the-counter medicine
  • Cleaning supplies and Clorox wipes
  • Insect repellent
  • Adult and children’s clothes
  • Shoes and socks
  • Underwear
  • Toiletries and personal hygiene items
  • Blankets and towels
  • Nonperishable food items of all kinds (black beans, rice, peanut butter, pasta sauce, cereal, oatmeal, soups, etc.)

Items needed for the Humane Society of Naples include:

  • Canned puppy and adult dog food
  • Canned kitten and adult cat food
  • Bath towels
  • Cat litter
  • Paper towels
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Kuranda beds
  • Pill pockets for dogs and cats
