Valley View is pleased to announce that its Heart & Vascular Center has been awarded the esteemed American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry’s highest-ranking Performance Achievement Award, receiving Platinum for 2023. Valley View is one of only 262 hospitals nationwide to receive this honor.

To receive the Chest Pain – MI Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award, Valley View has demonstrated sustained achievement in the Chest Pain – MI Registry for two consecutive years and performed at the highest level for specific performance measures. Through full participation in the registry, hospitals engage in a robust quality improvement process, using data to drive improvements in adherence to guideline recommendations and positively impact patient outcomes for heart attack patients.

“We are incredibly proud to receive the Platinum Performance Achievement Award from the American College of Cardiology and to be recognized for our quality of care to treat heart attack patients,” said Frank Laws, MD, medical director of the Valley View Heart & Vascular Center. “This award further demonstrates the skill of our heart and vascular interventional cardiologists and the team of physicians who assist in the management of patients having acute coronary syndromes. It also reflects our commitment to delivering evidence-based, quality care to our patients.”

The Heart & Vascular Center team strives to implement the latest approaches to treat patients with cardiovascular disease and truly loves the work that they do. The team offers a wide range of treatments, expertise in arrhythmia care, and the most experienced cardiothoracic surgeon on Colorado’s Western Slope.
