Orlando, FL – December 8, 2017 – iFLY Orlando, the world’s first indoor skydiving facility with dual wind tunnels, raised $2,315 throughout November for the Florida Hospital For Children Pediatric Rehabilitation. A special check presentation ceremony was held at the ‘All Abilities’ event on Sunday, December 3, 2017 in recognition of ‘National Disability Day.’

Once a month, iFLY Orlando hosts an ‘All Abilities’ Night that provides and encourages those with varying physical and cognitive abilities to realize the dream of flight. “‘National Disability Day’ was the perfect opportunity to shine a spotlight on empowering differently-abled people to fly in an inclusive and supportive environment for flyers of all ages and skill levels,” said Amanda Siegel, general manager of iFLY Orlando.

For every ‘Top it Out’ package purchased at $19.95 during a 30-day promotion, iFLY Orlando donated $5 to the Florida Hospital For Children Pediatric Rehabilitation. 463 number of packages were purchased and $2,315 was raised. In addition to the check presentation, children from the Pediatric Rehab hospital enjoyed free flights during the special ‘All Abilities’ Night event.

The Florida Hospital For Children Pediatric Rehabilitation provides a family-centric approach to treatment including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and audiology.

iFLY’s ‘All Abilities’ events reinforce that flight is attainable for everyone. All flyers are assisted by specially trained Flight Instructors with extra attention and accommodations based on participant needs. To see All Abilities flights in action, a video is available here.
