Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami Beach is wrapping up its 107th stone crab season this May with an opportunity to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade, just in time for Mother’s Day. This year, Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade invites everyone to support its 10th annual “Claws for Kids” in memory of Judy Kramer, by purchasing gift cards from the iconic Joe’s Stone Crab.

A portion of proceeds will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s many positive programs, including after school programs, homework assistance, computer training, social skills, dance, arts & crafts, professional mentoring, and summer and athletic programs.

Participants can choose to dine at home or at Joe’s Stone Crab on a date of their choice, and enjoy their world-famous stone crabs and Joe’s other signature items. To participate, guests must purchase sponsorship gift cards on the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s website by May 3, to benefit “Claws for Kids.” Then they may select the day and time of their own choosing.

Now through May 3, participants can show their support for Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade and celebrate the wonderful moments that inspire you about a special mom, by tagging a photo on Instagram with #claws4bgcmia. To enter, participants must submit a sponsorship payment, post a photo on Instagram, tag and follow @BGCMiamiDade, and use #claws4bgcmia by 11:59 p.m. on May 3. Profiles must be public to enter.

The top photo will be awarded a $200 Joe’s Stone Crab gift card. The winner will be announced via Instagram and an eblast on Sunday, May 9. Participants are encouraged to follow @BGCMiamiDade on Instagram and subscribe to Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s newsletter in order to be notified if they win.

“Claws for Kids” is held in memory of Judy Kramer, a retired Miami-Dade County Public Schools executive and Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade Board member, who chaired the event from its inception until her passing in February 2021.

“It’s an honor to hold the 10th Annual ‘Claws for Kids’ in memory of Judy Kramer,” said Alex Rodriguez-Roig, president of Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade. “Whereas this year’s ‘Claws for Kids’ event is different from years past, we look forward to inviting everyone to enjoy Joe’s fine cuisine and participate in our photo contest, while raising funds to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade’s many positive programs.”

“Claws for Kids” sponsorship opportunities are available and range from $250 to $5,000. To purchase sponsorships, please visit http://bit.ly/ClawsForKids21.
