Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade

Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade is working to collect donations to help those affected by Hurricane Ian in Southwest Florida. Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade will be delivering collected supplies to Boys & Girls Clubs in Charlotte and Lee Counties. If you’d like to contribute, please drop off items at the Durée & Company Fort Lauderdale office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Supplies that will be delivered directly to BGCMIA may also be ordered on Amazon here.

Feeding South Florida

Feeding South Florida is steadily sending meals to those in need affected by Hurricane Ian. Feeding South Florida’s operations team has made multiple deliveries via its 36-foot trailer and delivered much-needed food and water to families on the West Coast of Florida. Feeding South Florida also sent its 500-kilowatt generator to a local food bank so there was power in this facility. If you wish to help, contact us or consider donating at feedingsouthflorida.org.

Jack & Jill Center

Jack & Jill Center’s Power Lunch was rescheduled due to inclement weather caused by Hurricane Ian. The new event date will take place on January 19. The group will host its 21st Annual Power Lunch which pays tribute to special and outstanding honorees in the South Florida community who helped The Friends of Jack & Jill Center raise over $5 million for high-need children and families in the South Florida community since its inception in 1999.

In addition, The Friends of Jack & Jill Center is excited to host the 21st Annual Stiles Light Up Downtown, presented by Michele and Joe Maiuro, at The Plaza on Las Olas on Tuesday, November 29, at 6 p.m. View more events here.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)

As we enter the holiday season, MADD reminds everyone to celebrate the holidays safely by planning ahead with a non-drinking designated driver. Save the date for the annual UKG Walk Like MADD & MADD Dash Fort Lauderdale 5K in Fort Lauderdale, founded by Heather Geronemous. Taking place on April 30, 2023, you can expect children’s festivities, vendor/educational booths, and live music at the event that has raised more than

$3 million for Mothers Against Drunk Driving since 2011.

Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami (MOCA)

MOCA is proud to announce its Fall 2022 and Miami Art Week programming. Debuting on November 2, 2022, “Didier William: Nou Kite Tout Sa Dèyè” is the largest retrospective of Didier William’s career. Translated as “We’ve Left That All Behind,” the show presents an in-depth look at the Haitian-born, North Miami-raised artist’s career and memory among the very neighborhood where he once grew up.

Also on view will be VantaBlack’s “To What Lengths,”which has been open to the public on MOCA Plaza since October 14, 2022. Opening November 9, 2022 is “Kanaval,” a retrospective by photographer, filmmaker, curator, and writer Leah Gordon that documents twenty years of Carnival in Haiti. Curated by MOCA Curator Adeze Wilford, the exhibition consists of a series of black-and-white photographs taken on a mechanical medium format camera.

The 27th Annual Celebrity Chefs Food Tasting & Auction will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, March 31, 2023. Cannabist is organizing support for its communities as the state embarks on the path to recovery after Hurricane Ian and is partnering with Feeding South Florida to help keep food pantries stocked in the area. Throughout October, patients who bring in proof of donation or volunteer work towards hurricane relief efforts will also receive an extra 10% off their purchase.

ACS Laboratory

During the Cypress Hill/311 Concert in Hollywood, Florida, Masha Ty, corporate development for ACS Laboratory, collected donations that went directly to Feeding South Florida to support Hurricane Ian recovery efforts.

American Cancer Society

Real men wear pink! Michael Wild wears his pink jacket each day throughout October to raise money and awareness of breast cancer. Durée & Company is proud to support Michael each year with a donation to the American Cancer Society. Learn more and make a contribution today in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

CityPlace Doral & Jackson Foundation

CityPlace Doral is partnering with Jackson Health Foundation this holiday season. From Nov. 1 – Dec. 16, CityPlace Doral retailers are placing boxes at their locations to encourage shoppers to donate new unwrapped gifts. Shoppers can also support with monetary donations through a QR Code. Jackson Health Foundation was created to serve as the fundraising arm of Jackson Health System, Miami-Dade County’s only public health system.

Dawn McKenna Group (DMG)

Following the devastation of Hurricane Ian, The Dawn McKenna Group, affiliated with Coldwell Banker Realty in Chicago and Naples, has coordinated food and supply drives in Southwest Florida to support the community and those in need. DMG’s Naples team will have food trucks set up at various locations throughout Southwest Florida with volunteers delivering meals and donation items to residents. The volunteers are also able to move damaged items out of homes and to the curb if needed. BMO participated in Hunger Action Month and partnered with Feeding South Florida by dedicating a Friday in September to volunteer at the nearby facilities. Las Olas Oceanside Parks (The LOOP)

The LOOP hosted its “Sunday by The Shore” experience on October 9 with a special event to benefit those impacted by Hurricane Ian. The event featured a day-long hurricane supply drive for families in Southwest Florida who were impacted by Hurricane Ian. Arrangements have been made to transport items to those hardest hit on the West Coast of Florida through a partnership with Fort Lauderdale Ice.
