From February 27 through March 11, 2024, the Festival will screen 25 films spanning a wide range of themes and cultures and explore an eclectic mix of voices and perspectives at two different theaters. The Festival was founded by Donald M. Ephraim with the vision to be known as the annual celebration of dynamic cinematic storytelling, where people with a passion for movies gather each year to share experiences and ideas.

The film lineup will be announced, and individual tickets and membership packages will go on sale on Friday, January 12. Film aficionados will also have the opportunity to purchase tickets on Friday, January 12, at 3 p.m. at sasiff.org.

From opening night on February 27 through March 5, films will be played at West Palm Beach’s most prestigious address for arts entertainment, the Rinker Playhouse at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, located at 701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33401. Now in its second year and attracting the work of both emerging and established filmmakers from around the world, the Festival will once again bring the best in cinema to Palm Beach County and act as a major contribution to the cultural life of the county.

The films include international prize winners and new work by renowned directors and producers. Selected filmmakers will be present for exclusive audience discussions. Many films first debuted at renowned film festivals, including Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Toronto, Sundance, and Tribeca.

The Donald M. Ephraim Sun & Stars International Film Festival has lined up a wide-ranging selection of films, including features and documentaries from both up-and-coming and established filmmakers from around the world, including Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The Festival will showcase a selection of films that appeal to Jewish audiences, from tense WWII dramas of courage and daring to a heart-tugging family comedy and a chronicle of a one-of-a-kind rabbi’s street-level efforts to put compassionate Judaism into action.

“We’re excited to host our second Donald M. Ephraim Sun & Stars International Film Festival and bring highly anticipated, critically acclaimed, and thought-provoking films to Palm Beach County,” said Festival Founder Donald M. Ephraim. “The Festival represents a major contribution to the cultural life of Palm Beach County and wouldn’t be possible without the support of our presenting sponsor MorseLife, our members, sponsors, and donors who are passionate about movies and sharing experiences and ideas.”

Presented by MorseLife and founded by Donald M. Ephraim, the Festival was originally named The Donald M. Ephraim Palm Beach Film Festival. After experiencing the excitement generated by its compelling movies and creative interactions with stars and filmmakers in its inaugural year, the Festival changed its name to the Sun & Stars International Film Festival, capturing the essence of its Palm Beach location.

The Donald M. Ephraim Sun & Stars International Film Festival appointed film expert Barbara Scharres as artistic director, Palm Beach County arts professional Audrey Votaw as development officer, and Nathalie Glaze as festival manager.
